I am with you on this. There are only two boxes.
It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy

Yep, I see the same thing using IE. It looks normal in Firefox, though.
Does he have a strange bear claw like appendage protruding from his neck? He kep petting it.

It was an issue with the news ticker. Either it was choking on trying to display a subject or a recent update to IE is causing issues. I removed it for now.
