Break-ins

Post by Caspian »

I heard about some break-in happening a few weekends ago at the mother lode parking. Has there been a resurge or just one random break-in?

Also, I heard that the road to the Sore Heel parking area is pretty rough. Does anyone know what the current condition of this road is? Do you need high ground clearance?

Last time I drove it 4 wheel drive and decent ground clearance would be desirable. Alot of mud and deep ruts that can at times be hard to avoid.

the sore heel road is in okay shape as of last weekend. However, the blad rock - fixer road between sore heel and the creek fordings is about to collapse. If you like to drive through (i think it's fun) be careful one sopt is caving in - go slow.

from motherlode lot to turn off it's pretty rocky with some partial collapse...and that one slightly large dropoff that is normally there but has gotten worse...

from first big switchback to Sore Heel parking you will need some ground clearance...i saw a red cavalier back there last weekend...but imo they have a lot of ground clearance...major ruts from mud...and if it's been raining there WILL be mud...BUT FUN MUD!!!!

i borowed my dad's explorer...he wondered why i got a new paintjob on it when I gave it back
