Out of curiousity, how many routes do you all typically climb on a full day?

four to six is about it for me.

since a pitch is a rope length of at least 150 feet, I'd say most people climb 1-2 pitches a day....3-4 routes at the red equal one pitch.

Well, we learn something new every day! Thanks for showing me the light once again, Pig. Question corrected.

On the now rare occassion that we do go out on a certain weekend just to climb (and not to bolt), we would typically do 8-10 routes (at the Red) and about 6-8 (if at the New). Anything less than that and Jared gets pouty. One time, while we were in Rumney, Jared climbed 16 routes in one day (I only climbed half that). His reasoning was that we may never be there again and that it would be incredulous to give up the chance to sample such beautiful routes.

I recently climbed with Jared's Yoda - I thought he was going to kill me with all the climbing, and I was mostly belaying!

I guess that reasoning could apply to many crag days. I like it - it's a good philosophy.
