kids harness

Post by Pete »

our daughter (Amelia) was roped up and climbing for the first time yesterday. Hugh made her a harness/chest harness but we need to buy a nice one for her -
1) anyone have a kids harness to sell?
2) anyone have good info on what kind of kids harness is the best - i've seen two petzl and a trango that look pretty good...
any input is most appreciated.

thanks,
diane

Jesse is outgrowing his, so I need to get him a new one. If you'd like to try it on Amelia sometime give me a call and we can see if it will work for her. J has had his since he was small, but it is in great shape. Just let me know k?

I got these for my little brother when he first started climbing - he's outgrown them now, but it worked really well. Note that it is only recommended for toproping.

remember, that unless the child is large enough to have hips, a seat harness won't fit them well, for smaller kids, ones that are still hipless you need to use a full body harness

This one looks pretty good. The price is in Canadian dollars, which is kind of like monopoly money. Doesn't look like they have it in pink. Maybe you could deck it out with some pink quickdraws.
