Trip to Red River from june 24 to july 2nd

Post by waltereo »

Hi,

I'm thinking to go to Red River from june 24 to july 2nd.
Is it a good time to go there ? I mean heat, humidity, mosquitos etc... ??

And any suggestion for some classic trad climb ?

Thanks a lot

Naw, it's not hot at all then. Very dry air. What are "mosquitos"?

:D

It's variable (as they say, if you don't like the weather in the Gorge, wait a few hours) but it'll be hot and humid in the middle of the day and you will definitely need DEET. But the RRG is beautiful no matter when you visit. Just drink a lot of water and be prepared to sweat and you'll have a blast.

True that! :D
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.
