Hey yall. I gotta get in on this "spray for somebody else" stuff.

Ben Cassel, my fellow Berea resident, climber and photo boy extrordinaire, has released a brand new website to highlight his photo skills. It features some of our regular posters on some cool routes.

Way to go Ben! Check it out:

Great pictures, but the site is hard to move around in. I am not a fan of flash at all, it just makes things harder and slower. The coolness factor goes away the first time you cannot find the back button...

works okay in firefox for me... firefox doesn't support flash quite so well as IE

doesn't seem slow to me... i doubt it's the flash that is the problem with loading speeds.

btw... i am not Bens PR agent... not until he puts pics of me on his website!!!

I used to work exclusively in Flash & I friggin hate it now. Everyone hates it & it doesn't get requested at ALL anymore. Everyone has gone back to the simple styles. I'm sure whoever programmed that site put a shitpot of time into it & it is nice.

But...flash tends to annoy people. I couldn't navigate...I gave up.

Now hell. That site is one of the best photo sites I have seen. The only problem I had with it was the same one Wes addressed:

The coolness factor goes away the first time you cannot find the back button...
I asked him about it and he said the word "thumbnails" actually sits below the back button so just move your cursor up a bit and there you go.

As far as load times go, I don't see where you all are getting the slow load times. It pretty much jumps onto my screen and I am sure we don't have the fastest network in the world.

Ok. The picture on the front page is good. I can't find any other pictures. I click on gallery & it's a black page with a PC as the background. I try to select a region from the dropdown & nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Gawd flash is annoying.

The same thing happens to me, diggum.
