Lily Boulders, TN

Post by longlegsrule »

Anyone climbed here? I'm thinking about tagging along with some friends that might be going...it's obviously big enough to put on Dr. Topo...and doesn't seem too far of a drive....

Fun climbing for sure. Check weather before trip, it stays wet after a good rain for a couple days. Enough problems for a multiple day trip, not a Rock Town or Boone, but worth hitting.

The sport climbing at obed, right next to the lilly boulders, is also worth checking out. Lots of good stuff.

i don't think i would ever drive to the obed just to check out the lily boulders. they're pretty cool if you live close, but that's about it.

I'm with HO.....the Lily boulders are not a destination unless you live there...definitely take a harness and rope up....otherwise, you'll be bored after 2 hours.

i think the main reason they are interested in going is to get their two kids to climb....seems like there are a lot of 4's to be worked possibly? which about what im climbing I would like to work on harder but it seems the levels skip to 8's...

hmmm...wondering now if i should just go to the red instead...i really wanted to take another bouldering trip before it gets warm though...and it doesn't seem like that long of a drive
