Nextel phone service in the Red

Can anyone tell me if Nextel phones get reception in the Red? Thanks.

Mine does'nt, not at Miguel's, not in the Red Proper, and not in the southern region. I loose signal just past Winchester.. I've got the i530 with the big battery too.
I know some folks get a signal at Miguel's, but I'm not sure which wireless services pick up there...

I have CellOne and I get signal at Miguel's, and many of the crags. Don't ask me any technical questions or I'll have to write a poem.

I use Sprint and outside of Slade and Miguel's I might get a signal, but it's out of service range.

cingular - mine picks up at miguels porch but not at the end of the parking lot. comes in well in the sr but not in the deeper places in the gorge or down in muir valley. who wants to get calls when your out climbing anyway?

I've been at the motherload and seen people with Verizon talking on the phone and at Miguels but not in the Red.
