I'm just curious how many of you are RRGCC members and for those who are not, why?

Yep! It is my contribution to responsible recreation. For all of those years that I enjoyed other sports and played & competed in events organized by pioneering spirits of each individual sport, it is the least that I can do to continue the tradition!

definately. it seems like the absolute best choice for keeping access open at the red. i see access as being threatened and i think that the RRGCC can actually improve the situation.

I think I'm paid up on my dues but maybe not.
I think they do more good than harm.

Everyone who attended the video premiere at Roctoberfest is now a member of the RRGCC. Your entry fee included the annual membership dues. I actually joined before that event, because I also believe they do more good than harm.

I volunteered some computer services to Shannon about a month ago but never got a reply from her. Is the coalition operating so efficiently and effectively that volunteers are not needed? (Yes, that is sarcasm.)

Actually Shannon is so buried under email that she has a hard time catching up on them! Shannon is still an ol' schooler! I have found that the best way to talk to her is to call! But she'll probably kick my butt for that! She'll get flooded... Lynne, I can let her know that you are interested in helping out with computer stuff, which I know that there is a demand for that!

I was there for the video premiere, but no one was taking names. Is your status as a " member" ever questioned? or neccessary for a vote? , or is it just a money thing, "thanks you're now a member". I'm not trying to be flippant about this, cause I believe your mission statement is worthy. When the coalition was first formed I remember looking over one of the brochures and being pissed, can't remember why now. At that time I was younger and in a differant place. I had also just returned to the gorge from living in the flats of Fla to discover "bolt mania" and unfortunately lines of climbers at some of the crags who on those first few occasions were crazy rude. I guess I lumped all the new stuff in the same heap. Maybe it was that the coalition was born for just these reasons. I could attend a meeting sometime I guess, ....you guys don't do a secret handshake do you?

I should still be. I've paid my dues this year, and I guess I'm still a local rep (though I didn't partake in any RRGCC sponsered events this year due to work and school commitments). But I haven't received a newsletter since last winter.

Gulliver, As people were getting their event tickets we had them fill out the brochure. Unfortunately we were not able to capture everybody. So if you paid, please pm me your info so that it makes it on the member list!

Lucamaniac, that is one of our computer projects, THE DATABASE!! Keeping it updated so that the person in charge of the newsletter has the latest info. Forward me your info so that I can get that updated!

Not to get off topic Gulliver, but the "W" quote is an all time classic. From Yale, you say?
