The only "close" fall would be clipping the chains..otherwise, shut teh ehll up until you actually are strong enough to send..all this "I am close" BS is mere camp fire poseur spittle.

Well, unless you are actually close to sending. Then it is cool. I mean, shit man, this is the Red. You're not "almost getting" a route with one hang here! That one hang may last well over a year!
I always like the story of the dude who "almost onsited" Stain by falling at the last move. 50 tries later, after falling at the last move, he finally redpointed it.
Clipping the chains on a Red River route with one hang don't mean shit.
