There's a killer picture of Everest from 100,000feet from the space station on that site. I often set it as my desktop. Beautiful plume off the top.

How many posters have been over 20k feet? I haven't. 14,4k for me.

i wish i had a picture to post but the view from the top of castleton tower was one of the most beautiful things i have ever had the chance to witness.

utterly amazing and i would say worldless but that would be hypocritical, no?

What route did you all do? Man, that was one of the best climbing days of my climbing life so far.

Summit of Kilimanjaro for me, 19,320'. The views were stunning particularly heading up the Western Breach. It's sad to think that what little ice that's up there now will be gone in a few short years. If you want to see it in person, better plan a trip in the next 5 years or so. :(

just read the snow cap on Kila is gone, been there for 11,000 yrs previously, Andes are experiencing a similar fate

Here is a shot of the Arrow glacier along the Machame route on Kili. This was taken 2 years ago.

When we entered the summit crator, there was an ice wall about 100' high. The crator is huge but was only about 10 - 15% covered in ice.

It is sad that it's disappearing.
