Are the topos for Muir Valley included in the online guidebook? if so where? if not there than where?

How is that area in comparison to more popular areas?

Muir Valley is the new popular area. It's nice out there. Easy approach & fun routes. I didn't much care for Joe Ponder Wall though, but it would be fun if you dig that overhung stuff.

Whats the proximity of the crags in relation to the others.. Close to walk or require some driving? which ones are close to each other?

I see some areas have routes listed as Projects..Is that for whomever or are they marked as to not get on them?

The Projects are not open. They are either not fully equipped yet or have not been climbed by the bolter.

The Valley is actually a lot closer to Miguels than a lot of the other crags at the Red (if that's what you meant by proximity), if you take Glencarin Road. As far as proximity of crags within the valley, then it all depends on the type of routes and the grade that you are looking for. All the hollows are connected although you might have to wade in the creek to get to some of the other walls.

Muir Valley requires a bunch of hiking but it's well worth it. The hike is beautiful and the trails are in terrific shape in almost all areas (esp the main trail to Ponder/Rebel/Hatton Hollows).

Watch out for the giant snapping turtle in the creek. That guy is huge!
