Well on or way to HP40 this weekend somewthing really funny happened to team epic (Myself, Junior, Scobro, and OX-man). Scobro had lit up his pipe with some tabaccy, smoked it, then had Ox-man dump the ashes outside the minivan's sliding door. We were in mad traffic due to the interstate that had collasped on top of jelico mountain so we weren't moving but 5 mph when OX-man opened the door to dump the ashes. Well as he goes to shut the door it got stuck and one hard jerk "derailed" the door. So here we are driving down the interstate and our fucking minivan sliding door has come off and the only thing holding it up is Ox-man and junior! So i proceed to pull off the side of the road and we all try and put the door back on. We can;t get the damn thing on track after about 45 minutes of working with it. It was starting to rain at this point so we decided that if we can get the door to close even if its not on track we can just strap it in. So somehow we got the door to completely shut and the only thing that secured the door from just falling off later on was a seat belt tied around the capitans chair up front that was strapped to the handle of the door and an old piece of army strapping off of Scobros "bouldering purse." We finally got back on the road and we are still stuck in traffic due to I-75 being shut down. It took us another 2 hours to get to knoxville and a grand total of 9.5 hours to get to HP40 (We left at 730 PM Friday night and got in at 5 am saturday morning. ). Everytime we stopped at a gas station or anywhere we all got out the front door. It had to be funny to watch.

But I realized something later on.............this is just another ordinary day for team epic!!!

Ha ha, I posted the same thing, but on "other climbing." I guess everyone can check the two versions to see if there has been any exaggeration. Our stories run pretty similar except said we stopped to take a leak, but you're right, that's just the story we planned to give to your mom. Stick with the story Stew!

Next you'll have wild stories about how much whisky Ox had consumed and that Jr. downed a sixer in a half an hour while we were stuck in traffic. All lies I tell ya.
