Call John Haight at Cave Run Outdoor Shop (606) 784-1818. There's lots of great mountain biking around Cave Run Lake - less than an hour from the RRG area. He can set you up with what would be in the best conditions at the time.

It's not single track, but you can ride many of the gravel roads in the southern area.

Cave Run is the best single track in the area for sure. You can also go south to turkey foot and access the sheltowee for some down home single track in the backwoods! Ride all the way to S tree high speed double track. There also some burly fire roads and slickrock type stuff on Sunn oil land.

Wes..isn't the Southern Region private land now? Do they allow Mountain Bikes?

SCGC - I can't speak for everyone, but last I heard, the Pendergrass land was purchased for climbing, mountain biking, hiking, trekking, running etc...
I have biked thorughout there, and it sure beats making the 1hour and 20 min drive to Cave Run.
I'll keep it short, but the best area to bike would be:
Go down the hill towards the Motherload and park.
Continue on your bike on the main road.
Take a left any where, check out, turn around, go back to the main road, continue on a bit, take another left, and bike some more. All and all, you can put in about 23 miles of trails - some are even a bit advanced, but nothing is for experts.
Note: you might want to give couple of box to the coalition since it is there land. But just make sure you have a 4x4 to get down and back up from the motherload.

Thanks guys... The only thing is I will not hav a 4x4.... I will be driving my little honda civic... my climbing partner has a 4x4 truck but since it is a 300 mile drive, we have to save on gas.... hopefully someone up there will be will to car pull or something... we also saw places that you had to take a 4x4 to get tot he trails to climb... ?!?!
