The picture on the opening page shows a temperature of -56 degrees and a comment stating that it really doesn't matter if it's C or F. Just a quick calculation shows:
-56 C = -69 F
-56 F = -49 C
Either way, that is bloody cold!
OK, I know I've got way to much time on my hands. Now back to work!

Check out the pictures of the inside. It looks like they have made towers a couple different times, and he comments that on one of them they were able to climb to the top from the inside through a series of tunnels and chambers.
