i hate work

Post by Paul3eb »

what do you do when you're bored at work and you're not really supposed to be on the internet? i've been digging my thumbs into my eyes for the past hour and a half and now that's getting old, too. i need something to do and i'm getting more and more nervous that they're going to say something about the amount of time i spend on the surfing the net. any suggestions?

Oh... not supposed to be on the internet..... ummm, I eat. Just finished a can of fruit cocktail, a slice of smores mouse pie, and a latte.

Or to look like I'm working, I "reorganize" my desk and "catch up on training".

I need this thread.

Sometimes I just stare at my screen like I'm really annoyed. All squinty eyed. My eyes are starting to hurt.

I "window shop" for gear too. But I get scared they're going to say something about my surfing too. But hell...I get my work done!

Oh yeah...I have big thick books that look like programming books. (Freedom of the Hills is one) and I read a little bit w/ one hand on the keyboard.

We don't have a lot of time on this earth! We weren't meant to spend it this way. Human beings were not meant to sit in little cubicles staring at computer screens all day... filling out useless forms... and listening to eight different bosses drone on about mission statements.

Somebody's seen Office Space too many times. Ok...you can't see that movie too many times. That and Princess Bride. Oh & Raising Arizona.
