More climbers are definitely encouraged to attend LAC meetings but should realize LAC is a two year process. Several RRG climbers have been attending the LAC meetings regularly since they began last year. This next meeting will be the second Step 3 meeting. Step 3 is "Select Indicators of Resource and Social Conditions". What this really means is determining what will be measured to determine change. An example measurement is number of campsites per square mile. If you do plan to attend this Tueday's meeting it would be in your best interest to study what is already on the USFS website. Also PM me if you do plan to attend & with any questions. Please note that the Forest Service is looking for volunteers to participate in Step 4 "Inventory Existing Resource and Social Conditions".
