Kentucky Bourbon

Post by Don McGlone »

I know this has been discussed here before, but it is Bourbon season again. Lately I have been sampling various brands such as:

Blanton's - Good but expensive.
Knob Creek - Good and reasonably priced.
Rip Van Winkle 10 yr 107 - Look out!
Woodford Reserve - So far my favorite of this season.
Eagle Rare - Smooth.

Friday I will be trying a couple of new brands (for me):

Basil - Hayden
Booker's
Baker's

Anyone got any suggestions on any other's that they like? Remember - Kentucky Bourbon only - accept no substitutes!

You're off to a good start with the Blanton's and Basil.
Hancock's
Wild Turkey Rare Breed
12 yo Pappy Van Winkle
Corner Creek
Elijah Craig
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
