Over 200 competitors and spectators converged on Boat Rock for the "Float the Boat" bouldering competition in Atlanta, Georgia. The weather was great with temps in the 50's, low humidity and partly sunny skies.
All proceeds from the boulderfield went to help pay down the mortgage on this climber owned, climber managed area.
The competitors all got a glimpse of "the backside" area which has been closed in recent years, but was opened up just for the comp. Many thanks to the Regency Hills Subdivision for allowing us to come in and climb.
Many a project was sent on saturday with Zach Pitts sending Jerrys Rail Project (we found out later that he completed the boulder problem about 3 years ago) and then went on to climb a blunt arete and name it "Roller Derby". Fernando Paulete also climbed a really blank slab in the Sundowner area and thought it was about V6.
