I was looking at this route a couple of months ago and it seemed pretty wet.
Does it ever dry out and is it as burly as it looks?

it never dries out sparky. never. so just give up on trying to find it in dry conditions cause it just does not ever become dry. in fact, it's also known as the scuba route because it is always wet. always.

HF your full of shit. It will be dry anytime after at least 3 dry days. If it rains lightly, it drys in 1 day except for the last 2 or 3 moves. Its pretty sustained.

It also tends to look really damp, but isn't (if that makes any sense). Its in a dank dark corner so it does take some time to dry out after some rain. Its not all that hard, pretty straightforward jamming that can pump you out if you're not careful.

Yeah that makes sense steve, it had been a pretty dry week when i looked at it, though it looked wet back in that corner. I just assumed it was still wet. I'll have to get on it some time

If you have burly hands the start is brutal. I can only get my fingers in at the bottom and have to lay it back, so I'm completly wiped by the second rest. Of course I can't jam for shat anyway.

I've seen that climb dry after a four day downpour, and seeping after a week without rain. Go figure.

If you can't get your hands into it the bottom is definitely the crux. I get cool jams there using thin hands and ratchets. They are pretty bomber - even if my feet skate out because my partner is telling me some crazy joke about a pirate and I am laughing my ass off, they still hold.

There are a ton of stemming rests on that route.
