meaning I have lots of friends in the 'science' industry and what they advertise for with the studies and claim on the 'What this test is for' sheet isn't always the only thing they are researching...but they can't exactly put the other down on paper.

My guess is that the guidelines for all NSAIDs will be changing in the next year or two based on some of the studies that have been coming out. Vioxx, Celebrex and Alleve all fall in that category even though the last has a slightly different action. They all block the production of chemicals that promote/cause inflammation but at higher doses also block the production of compounds that inhibit blood clotting. If you're going to use them, it's starting to look like short-term usage is much safer than long-term. I just hope the FDA doesn't decide to pull ibuprofen and some of the others off the market, too.

I just spoke to a friend who's all upset because she was reading the caution label on her X-mas lights and it said that "Handling the coated electrical wires exposes you to lead, a chemical known to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm. Wash hands after use."
Ho ho ho! Merry X-mas!
