i haven't sent it but i think there are better routes to do. if you want to be able to do a long endurance 12 then thats what its there for

If it's over-rated why does it have 3.9 stars from the forum and 3 stars on the guide?!? If you three went and gave it one star it would pull it down to like 2. Looks like it would be great for people who have just figured out how to stay on that kind of thing for more than a couple of bolts but boring for people who've climbed that level a lot. Is it rated so highly because it's a first 5.12 for a lot of people or is it just one of those endurance things you can brag about?

Wow. So you compile a list of climbs that you want to do in a year? Do you want to send them all or are they just the climbs that you think you'd enjoy and want to get on? Just curious.

It's pretty cool but Ale-8-One is cooler. Pumpy as shit if you're not prepared for it.

the reason it gets stars is that it is the classic for the Undertow wall- that is to say it is a mindless jug haul (or in the case of the Undertow a mindless finger bucket haul.) It is good and lends itself to laps and warming up.
the fact that it is right in front of the main staging area helps.
It also is the break through route for the grade. If you can do it you can do most low end 5.12s.
That said, just about every route on the undertow is better.

Sprag,

If you don't send then there is absolutely NO reason to even begin to get on a climb. If you don't send and then move on, then don't even think about spraying to others "oh I've been on that climb..it was alot of fun." (You can't know a climb is fun until you have climbed it bottom to top, no falls.) Until then, you are merely a tourist on a trip, and not a local on the route. It's all about the numbers. None of this "enjoying a climb". Have a great day.
