Yasgini at it again

Post by Spragwa »

Man, this weekend was so fun. I climbed with Yasmeen and I totally have to spray for her because she onsighted BBBB at Miliscary. Man, I am super impressed with this chica. I know that getting the First Female Assent of the Inhibitor is her real accomplishment but BBBB is a really difficult route to read and she just sailed her way up that thing. Trad or Sport this chica cannot be stopped! Go Yasgini!
Jesus only knows that she tries too hard. She's only trying to keep the sky from falling.

What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

If she had her own rope and climbing clothes line, I'd totally buy them.

Thanks, y'all! It was a blast climbing with you, Spragwa, and you kicked ass this weekend, too, girl-- keeping your lead head all the way through In the Light and such. Thanks for showing me the real gems of Miliscary! :D

Good job Yasi. Of course I would never doubt that you could send it.
We hardly ever go to Miliscary (ha) but on the few times we have, that has got to be one of my favorite routes!

Not to downplay Yasi's BAMF capabilities (because she is without a doubt someone I am most inspired by) but why do you think the Inhibitor hasn't been climbed by any other women up 'til now? I have a hard time thinking that she and I are the only two girls ever to climb a 20+ year old, 11a, RRG classic, nearly rock throwing distance from the road.

I know Steph G (Muao Dib) got the first female ascent of When Doves Cry and Yasi got the first female ascent of Crag out at Camp Store Crag. Not sure about any others, though...

NICE Yasi!!!
No doubt...you inspire me as well, but you already knew that.

Dear Santa,
I want my very own Yasgini climbing rope
12 Yasgini quickdraws
Size M pair of Yasgini Inhibitor drawers
Never mind if I've been good...

Damn Yasi! Keep it up. I hear doing lots of work at gyms, such as RockQuest, is great for building up strength over the winter. Having a regular routine, such as every Tuesday and Thursday is very helpful for staying in shape. Of course you don't need any advise, I just though I would share my experience... and plans for the winter.
