New Pad

Post by Don McGlone »

I think it's time to get a REAL bouldering pad. From what I've seen, the Misty Magnum seems to be very popular - for good reason. Are there others I should consider? And where's the best place to find one?

I like my Metlious XXL. But if I had to do it over again I would have a hard time choosing between the Magnum and a Voodoo 5000.

Order direct from Misty or Voodoo? I snagged my Highlander from a Philip Galls employee who didn't like the one he bought there.
Screw you guys. I'm going bowling.

I'd go with the misty magnum.though the leopard spots on the voodoo look pretty cool.

I just checked out MM's web site - there's a new pad called the "Equalizer". It's hinged, eliminating the taco effect. Same dimensions as the Magnum, but it's fifty bucks more. Anybody seen or tried one?

The equalizer's hinge really just helps when the pad is in storage and it's smaller for transporting. You got a big ass house and a truck, so room isnt an issue . If you have the extra money, buy the new equalizer, save some money for beer at the Bone and buy the Magnum. When your at home lay it out under the big ass wall so the padding doesnt get messed up. When your on the road your with us, we have trucks or vans. But thats coming from a cheap ass.

You've got to come and help me build that big ass wall first! Beer and food is on me.

Don,

I recommend the Magnum. A friend of mine has one of the Equalizer. It is equal to two Highlanders but is harder to carry than the Magnum which is already a pain in the ass.
Listen to climbhigh and deploy the pad while home, it will save some wear and tear in the long run.
See you at the boulders,

Highball5000. It'll stop anything, and its not veary heavy. ( I used to role with one of those and a dropzone, piggy back) kinda pricy but worth every cent
Kali Mist grows into tall, running, classically sativa plants with very few leaves. This strain produces dense clusters of full fluffy buds, producing much higher yields than you would expect.
