I'm going with bolt whipping because usually the falls are longer than on trad lines.

Hahaha-- I almost forgot about the classic exchange this weekend!
Kris, above a bolt: Being runout above a bolt is so much scarier than above gear. I'm getting all nervous.
Yasi: Just pretend it's a cam beneath you-- jerk-test it to ease your mind!
Kris, after jerk-testing the bolt: Um, that was a bad idea... it's a spinner...

I guess the tradies say bolts and the sporties say gear.
The scariest falls for me are the ones that are totally unexpected, like when holds break or my foot cuts and I am not in the middle of making a move. Then again, sometimes when it happens so unexpectedly, I'm at the end of the rope before my brain can even process what just happened, then I'm just pissed I blew an onsight or redpoint.

I don't know which I find scarier... whichever one has the weirder fall, I guess. Big falls don't bother me, but the potential to fall onto a ledge and crack something into pieces makes me sweat a little.
