Which airport is best?

I live in the Chicago area. My daughter will fly into Louisville (SDF) or Cincinnati (CVG). I will pick her up then drive to the Red. We will climb for a week then I will return her to the airport then continue home. I understand the rout differences from Chicago to Slade via Cincinnati and via Louisville (I think).
Which airport is more convienent for this arangement?

Both about the same. Louisville is a bit smaller and easier to get into and out of, but other then that, I would go with whicher is cheapest.

Both places are about the same distance from the Red. The only difference for you is which route you take from Indy -- either 74E to Cincy or 65S to Lville.

I fly through Cincy airport most of the time (~12times/yr) and it is a very efficient airport as far as getting from terminal to terminal. So that might save you some time. Also, look into online check-in which eliminates the need to stand in line; you can just go straight to the security checkpoints. That way you can spend more time with your daughter!
Never been through L-ville though.

I would just like to state that the Cincy airport is actually in northern KY
they are both good...I'd say go with the cheapest.
I'd say mapquest the time difference bt coming from Chicago to Cincy or Chicago to Lou.

Another option is flying directly into the Lexington airport. It will put you an hour closer to the gorge than either Louisville or Cincinnati.
I would check on the price of the flights to each location from both O'Hare and Midway.

It's definitely way easier to get in/out of the Lexington airport and it's cheaper of all places the last time I had to look for tickets.

more than likely its cheaper to fly directly to cincy, than it is to ltown or Louisville. Also it depends on what airline. Cincy is base for Delta.

My daughter is coming from Oakland, California. Lexington was my first choice, however, due to layovers and other timing issues I am stuck with Cincinnati or Louisville.
Thanks for all your comments. It is good to get a local perspective.

JF...what crack are you smokin'?!
Cincy is one of the most expensive airports in the US. Granted, they recently have cut down on some of their prices but I would never say it was cheap.
Where is your daugher flying in from?
