Awesome news! But for ignorant gumbies like me, are Oil Crack and Arena still closed? If so, why are they the only ones in that area that are still off limits? Thx.

Yes, Oil Crack and Arena are still closed. Charmagne Oil owns the land at the base of these crags and has closed access to the base. Don't tell me you are going to rap down, never touch the base, and climb. Please stay out of these areas and let the mediation process work.

Just so I understand correctly, is this news simply saying that the status quo is being maintained? Is it saying that the courts are continuing to prevent the oil company from messing with climbers using the Coalition onwed property? That's all, right?

I don't mean to suggest that it isn't good news, but I just want to be clear that it is more 'a step towards solidifying the status quo' (which IS a good thing!), rather than 'an improvement in what can be accessed'.

Congratulations, Wes, Ryan, Bob, Capn, Shannon. John would be cackling with the ruling.
