Apt in Cincy/Roommate needed?

Post by meetVA »

Anyone looking for a roommate right now or know of a great place to live...cheapish?

most of us climbers live in the Hyde Park area....which also means Mt Lookout and Oakley...I wouldn't recommend the west side of town...it all depends on where you work and how much traffic you want to deal with.

Oakley is by far the cheapest...Hyde Park is crazy $...all 3 are close to Meijer's, Kroger, 3 cute little squares, shopping, gyms, I-71, some of the most popular bars in Cincy, parks, bike shops (hehe)

All of these places are safe for a young single female

There are a lot of places for rent right now...

Just kidding. Belaying you was almost a religious experience. Oh God!

LLR I'm thinking of moving to E. McMillian near UC, I have no idea what the neighborhood is called. I know the neighborhoods around there aren't the best but this one looks like it is in a fringe area.

Anything would probably be an improvement to living in Humbolt Park in Chicago!

Tony and I live in Oakley in a awesome 2 bedroom apartment for $250 a month ($125 each).
It's not a bad area at all and it's close to everything we need. Be careful with East Walnut Hills (the area you are talking about). While it is a nice area, they have a problem with break-ins. The theives don't work in their neighborhoods, they go to the areas within walking distance.

That's assuming that you and the people you know are "most" of the climbers in Cincinnati. That's a pretty bold assumption, don't you think?

Chester is very correct in this statement...for one...there isn't anything to steal in their neighborhood...

if you aren't going to UC there isn't much reason to live near UC...I'd search elsewhere....
