Huge Success/Many Thanks

The first annual Gathering was a huge success thanks to the tireless efforts of more than 60 amazing volunteers who completed an incredible amount of trail work on the most beautiful weekend of the year. This amazing group of people completed a impressive new trail from the parking lot to Joe Ponder and Rebel Branch Hollows that is a tremendous improvement to the muddy old washed out logging road. An excellent new trail to the Great Wall was added. Work was done on the trail to the Sanctuary. A brand new trail to the 5.10 wall was added (replacing the steep old logging road that will be reclaimed by nature) and a new trail connecting the 5.10 wall to the Tectonic Wall was blazed as well (which no longer requires any bushwhacking). Again, many thanks to all who came and helped. It was great to meet all of you and the efforts of the climbing community to help this area grow and become sustainable for years to come were tremendously appreciated and did not go unnoticed.

No Doubt!
And a huge thanks to Rick and Liz, and Team Muir.
And Mike, be careful. Looks like you are in a potentialy dangerous situation there

Thanks to all those that organized the event -- it went off great! I'm glad I could help out.
By the way: all those that didn't want to get wet and cancelled: THE WEATHER WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT ALL WEEKEND!!!!

I have been to many trail days, and this one was far and away the best run of them all. Rick and Liz are great memebers of the climbing community, and I am thankful to them for all that they have done.

I was so impressed with the turn out and efforts of everyone. Muir is such a magical place and now a dream to hike through with all the newly developed trails.

They can't be Nazi's, they look too damn happy. When was the last time you saw a happy Nazi?

t bone, you were sorely missed at the festivities! I hope everything is okay at home now.
I was pinching myself yesterday while climbing at Muir... it seems too good to be true! The work all the volunteers did on Saturday is outstanding. The routes that have been put up are phenomenal. The Valley is stunningly beautiful. And the Weber's generosity is unbelieveable. Artsay was right, it's magical!
By the way, it was really cool to meet some of y'all Saturday and Sunday, and put faces and real names to screen names. Eventually I'll get those straight.
