Biker Chics

Post by longlegsrule »

or chickens (males)

anybody out there bike...I just bought a mountain bike...so did eric....anyone know where to find cheap (but durable) extras to put on bikes?? My local shops are way too pricey  sometimes and I don't think the stuff at Meijer's is really going to hold up.

I'm looking for reflectors, lights etc etc.

And does anyone else bike at night and have any suggestions...we normally head out after we get back from closing up the gym at night...so we start around 10:45. I've already had one guy yell at me out his window bc "you aren't visible enough"...I told him he needed to check his contacts...

how much extra stuff do you have on your bike for night rides...how much reflector gear do you wear?

and has anyone seen people mtn. biking in the red?

Sweet, riding around the city at night freakin rocks. If your riding around rural raods at night keep an eye out 'cus you will get run over/off the road sooner than later. Just get a couple of those red blinking led lights and strap some reflectors everywhere else. In KY it's the law to have lights, white-front red-back when your riding at night. Yeah, I still don't have any though.
Riding in the Red's a big no, the trails are all foot-travel only. Plus, all the trails I've been on out there are pretty much full of hike-a-bike's more so than ridable trails. If you want though, go check out the Pendergrass-Murray property trails, legal anyway. Hope your wearing a helmet. Cycling, in my opinion, is THE best form of cross training. Really alot of climbing is just pedaling up the wall.

Another place that has some really good trails is up in Hoosier National Forest. Check on their website to see what trails are available to bikers.

Hey longlegs, talk to T-Bone. He's a bad ass mountain biker and knows the trails all over the midwest.

I mountain biked at Ceasars Creek once before. It's pretty cool and you can avoid the nasty stuff if you want. A boss of a friend injured his neck there. He ended up with a cracked vertabrae trying to go down one of the hills. I mostly just ride laps around lunken airport for exercise.
