I got spanked!

Went down to the Gorge this weekend absolutely determined to redpoint Fuzzy Undercling at Military, but it spanked me good and sent me home crying. I linked it bolt to bolt and climbed through it on toprope from beginning to end without benefit of the no-hands, but went home without a redpoint.

I was joking, of course, about going home crying. It was a magnificent weekend in the Gorge. Lots of activity in Muir Valley. Great pizza from Miguel's. Met a lot of new people.

Anybody else take a beating this weekend?

I took a continous beating on the start of Stretcherous at Muir Valley. Michelle did too since I kept slamming into her each time I missed and took the swing. Just as my skin was ready to split through on the tip of my index finger I finally nailed the move. I probably only had 2 more goes in me. Now I have this big purple dent in my fingertip. Cool route.

Zspider: I almost sent this route (had it one hang) just hours before I broke my ankle last March. My first day out climbing after the ankle recovered, I tried to TR this and I couldn't even start it. It sucked and affected my attitude on climbing for the next month. I feel you, but don't worry, you're going to get it, just as I did ... finally. Keep workin' it!

well I got spanked this weekend, Wes! Where were you?? It was this slightly overhanging off-hands crack that has eluded me every damn time I have tried to send it... (Okay, twice.) I'm still stinging from the whipper.

I didn't get completly spanked, but heard and felt my right hamstring pop on a roof start route at the Gray Wall. Then felt the effects of it on Sunday at Shady Grove.
I know I should take a break, but climbing is too much fun!!

I ended up doing that new route that you guys put up that day too. That thing is sweet man. Nice and long with a cool big reach at the top.

You all think you got spanked? I just lost $30 dollars playinng poker, I basically was just F-ed. That is way way worse then being spanked on route your pussies. Stop your whinning baby cries and suck it up and be a man/woman.
