Lexington Rocks CLOSED

Dear Lexington Climbers,

Lexington Rocks has closed permanently due to not being able to sustain enough business to cover operating costs.
It has been a long, drawn-out process with much heartache along the way and we are now dealing with losing our dream. We also realize that Lexington now loses an indoor climbing facility and hope this won't be a permanent affliction.

We had hoped to provide Lexington with a first class gym where new people could be introduced to climbing and experienced climbers could train. We are proud of the facility we built, but many behind-the-scenes hurdles eventually proved too much for this small business to cope with.

Thank you to all of you who have supported us and we cherish the friends we have made along the way; we apologize for leaving you now.
Members: any of you who have paid up front will be reimbursed, so please email us at lexingtonrocks@hotmail.com with your current address. We also intend to return any lost or left items. Please understand that nothing is for sale at the moment - everything is just being packed up.

We hope that you will find other means to continue with climbing and stay strong. Yours,
Brian, Brooke and Steffi

So sorry to hear this. Man, all the great times and great people there. I hope the best for you all and let me know if I can do anything to help out.

Damn, guess that means I have to climb outside now. :(

Ditto- I really enjoyed my visits, was concerned that Scin might kick my ass for checking out Artsay's ripped belly but I "gutted" it out, Sincere hope things can get back on track ASAP

sorry to hear it for you all. My family has spent many a pleasant hour in there with friends. Thanks to you all for providing us with a baby friendly place to come. Amelia practically learned to walk there. We will miss Lexington Rocks.
Best of luck
Hugh

I never went because it was too far and cost too much. Hmm...

Real rock is good, but still sorry to hear about it.
