Highly recommended book

I just finished Krakauer's "Into the Wild". It's a pretty good, but sad book.

Has anyone else read this one? I know a guy that reminds me very strongly of Chris McCandless. Some of you probably know him as well. Used to hang around the Red for awhile. He was trying to free Halloween.

Hell yeah...great book, this is my favorite backpacking book. I bet I have read it at least 1/2 a dozen times. Chris McCandles is one of my hero's, He lived "one great adventure" Too bad it had to end so tragic...

I read it. I know a couple guys who are very similar to Chris, which is kind of a scary thought.
