I can't find these routes in the guidebook. Is Wes trying to wisk Meadows and me off to an obscure, nonexistant trad crag?

He is probably trying to whisk you off for some romantic rendevous knowing wes.

I bet it's a setup between Wes and Ho.

The plan: Wes gets us excited about this route and at 8:30 on Sunday, he never shows up. He just totally bails.

Should we trust Wes? If anyone has prior experience, please let us know.

they are on auxier ridge 5.6, 5.10 respectively, Haven't done them but I found them in John's guidebook p.242. DRS looks nice though I'd like to get on it.

Yasmeen, there is a reason those routes aren't in the online guide. They were rated the Years Worst Routes by Rock and Ice in 1997. One of the belays consists of anchoring to a scrapped washing machine thrown down the cliff by a Slade local. One person actually died on Excalibur from loss of blood due to beer can cuts. I wouldn't listen to Wes.

Wes, SCIN has exposed you for the liar you are. It's Jungle Beat or nuthin, buddy.

Man, SCIN has never been more the 200 yards from a parking area, how would he know anything? He is nothing but a bolt clipping gumby these days.

DRS is super cool. It is kinda heady, but in a twisted fun way. And excalliber is, by all accounts, one of the best routes of it's grade.

And, I like how you have set me up here. So, now when I have a tragic *accident* out there with only you two as witnesses, you can say it was some kind of self defense. Well, I am not so sure about that plan. The bears are my friends and will come to my rescue.

Okay, so you steal a cub and run home with it. Now you think the bears out there will defend you? Are you stupid man?

Nope that is a good karma cub - he was orphaned, along with a brother and a sister. They were relocated to BSF a few years ago, and by now have surely made there way to the RRG. Thus, I have a freind in the woods, so beware.
