do you all really have a problem with people trying to send something really hard? what is the motivation behind that? i post something about a cool climb going down in the valley and you all get bitchy. is it because he is better than you or you feel inadequate? i don't know just asking.
Everything at my limit is "really hard". Duh.
What's the motivation? To achieve something you haven't been able to before, and thereby have a visual and self satisfying reference of your progress.
That being said, I couldn't give two shits what you're climbing. I climb for me and enjoy my progress. I love being around friends while they are climbing to see their progress, but in the end, it's my own progress that brings me back.

Sarcasm is a tool the weak use to avoid confrontation. People with any balls just outright lie.

Ah, to answer that question look in the Sport forum at the thread "projects....goals for the summer". You would pretty get the same response here even if you replaced 'summer' with spring, fall, or winter.

Freeclimber, lighten up. I can see that the bitch-iness on this website is rubbing off on you. It's a vicious cycle.
I'm with you -- Tommy rocks. I've met the guy and think he's great. But I think the people in this forum would like to confine the glorifications to the mags.
Easier to relate to the accomplishments of those people you actually know. When Dave Hume won in Boulder, people had nice things to say....
Like I said, it's just a cycle....
