With all the "To bolt or not to bolt." talk/controversy lately on various threads, is anyone on this bbs planning to run for the CAC?

Also, would those wanting to be on the CAC want to make a post as to why they want to be elected and what their qualificaitons are?

Whatever Mia, there is no INNER CIRCLE. It's just the same few people willing to show up. Have a nice trip.

The CAC is definately not the inner circle! My votes go for Joe and Jared. How about yours?

Sure, as most of you well know, Joe is an opinionated guy...I'll post his "platform" on here later tonight. Guess that makes me the campaign manager. ha.

Thats a good idea captian, i know Jared is well qualified to be on the CAC. I nominated him for that reason.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm running for the CAC. I am very interested in becoming a member of this council and helping in any way possible.
I joined the RRGCC as a lifetime member in the early days of the coalition. During the last 11-12 years I've traveled all over the country to climb in more than 60 different areas in 25 states and 4 countries. Being from Indiana I escaped the cornfields by taking frequent trips to the Red as it has always been my "home crag" along with the New River Gorge. My first climbing experience was as an 18 year old gumby following up "Tunnel Route" on Chimney Top. Since then I've felt an incredible passion and connection for climbing and I've gone on to climb more than 300 routes at the Red and more than 300 at the New.
Now I've been climbing for nearly 12 years and I'd like to start giving back to the climbing community. Currently I'm bolting quality routes on private land (Muir Valley) and assisting in creating safe and enjoyable climbs for future users along with T-Bone and others. I've already bolted routes of every grade there from 5.8 to 5.12b and done some trad routes from 5.8-5.10.
I divide my climbing time between sport, trad, and bouldering. I have a fondness for aesthetic routes - particularly area classics (regardless of the grade). Although I don't climb terribly hard (5.12 sport, 5.11 trad, V7 bouldering), I enjoy 5.11 sport and 5.9-5.10 trad the most.
I also have several years of route setting experience indoors at Climb Time Indy and Climb Time Towers in addition to being a coach for the Indy Flash Team. I spend all of my spare time during the weekdays at the gym climbing, coaching, and setting routes. During the weekends I'm outside on REAL ROCK (usually bolting)! In between, while working in an environmental testing laboratory, I think about climbing.
It consumes me...
