Red River Gorge Sports Map in Final Revision

I few weeks ago I posted a request to help me finish a map that located climbing areas in the Gorge. You can read that post at: http://www.redriverclimbing.com/viewtopic.php?t=2602

After one more revision cycle (and after the USFS Limits of Acceptable Change meetings), I hope to publish the map.

I invite your suggestions and corrections. The exact locations for more obscure crags I could not find because of physical limits to bushwhacking. Anyone giving me coordinates for crags I can verify, I will give special printed credits. If you are a GPS user, you will appreciate this map.

Very nice.

I think where the "u" is in "Muscle Beach" is Bear Wollar. The next to the north east is Between, then due north (under "oil wells") is Muscle Beach. Minas Tirith/Brighton/Jazz etc. need to move southwest. Minas Tirith is the point across from the bridge. The others are to its "left" to the southwest. Dunkan Rock is across the road to the east.

The Zoo is on the next bump to the south. The Playground is below the "Y" in Bob Marley. Shady Grove is to the right of the "Y".

The legend is split and scattered around both sides of the map and might be easier to read printed.

The "stats" under crag names are:
#trad - #mix - #sport | route difficulty most found

I do appreciate any suggestions that make the map better....including spelings!

I wish I had high speed so I could view the maps. Don't have the patience to wait for them to download. If I could see them I might be able to provide some input from my 30 years history of climbing, hiking, & backpacking @ RRG.

My apologies for assuming folks would wait for long downloads.

I have cut the size by a 1/3 so please revisit.

I also apologize for the spelling errors in the legend. These are the last items to be corrected.

Thanks, I was glad to finally be able to check it out. Just wondering what you criteria was on whether to include smaller climbing locations. For instance Mariba Fork. I was also wondering about trails, are all show official USFS trails, & why aren't the trail nos. on the map?
