Loose anchor

Post by marathonmedic »

FYI, the nut on the left (?) anchor of Maypop at Left Flank is loose. We tightened it as best we could but could only get it finger tight. I didn't personally mess with it, but my partner said the bolt was still bomber and that just the nut was loose. Anybody heading out there with a wrench in the near future?

that bolt on may-pop has been loose for years, it still seems fairly bomber. I'll check with Hamsco to see if we can get up there to replace it. thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Actually the name May-pop comes from all the holds that were breaking off as the climb was in it's infancy. It seems that with every ascent more holds would break, hence the name May-pop.
