Does anyone know where I could find current info on climbing at these areas? Any published guides? I'm thinking about heading out there in July.

I have no info, but Merrick will. However I will probably be there in July for a couple of days bouldering.

Hey MiaRock, missed you guys last night! We ended up outside at Clack. We are thinking about leaving around 07/01 and staying until around 07/12. No set itinerary, but probably a couple days in Idaho, then maybe Wyoming and/or Utah. Cragging and bouldering - probably no alpine this time around. When will you be there?

I ended up going running last night instead.

I live in Jackson Hole in the summer from May 30th to October 10th. I am planning on taking some weekend trips there (however my weekends will probably be mondays and tuesdays)

If i don't see you in Idaho maybe you can drop by the ranch?!

i was just there last week and there are 2 new guide for the city out and one for castle as well. don't buy the old one it sucks. rock and ice had a nice guide for castle in an issue last summer. you can pick up the guides in almo at either the outpost or the general store, you can get directions to almo in any road atlas. have fun, the city is truly one of the most magical areas i have been to.

How do you manage that? I am so jealous! Doesn't anyone have to work around here and have bills to pay like me? I don't get it... what am I doing wrong?

I have a ton of bills which is why I work on a dude ranch in Teton Village, directly across from the ski resort.

I get free room and board, a nice cabin, great pay and only have to work mornings while I get to do all the horseback riding, climbing, hiking etc...in the Tetons I want.

And I do realize I'm pretty damn lucky. 8)

check out the website http://www.coolworks.com that's where I found the ranch last year.

There are also a ton of park and resort jobs in cool places, including ski resorts in winter.
