This weekend Loren suckered me into climbing this choss pile sport route, because he couldn't finish it (finally the all mighty Loren has failed at something) and it was actually kind of fun despite being dirty, damp, and raining rocks on Loren's head. So does anyone know the name of this god forsaken route at Torrent that is right of Windy Corner and right of smoke screen. Its not in the guide book or online guide because it would be inbetween tourist trap and smoke screen if it were there. I was just wondering why someone would bolt this obvious choss pile, and so I could have a name when I tell everyone about how cool I am.

Hey now, That's not how it happened at all! We said that it was a planned tag-team. I did the first half and didn't want you to miss out on such an epic assent of such an obvious classic.

My favorite part was when you pull through the high crux and desperately pull slack to clip the fixed draw, only to realize that the gate was stuck. Classic!

Anyway, it was kinda' fun.

I have to admit that it was kind of fun. My favorite part of the route was the dyno to the jug at the lip that broke off in my hand. I went instantly from "thank god a jug" to "Oh shit it broke". Its probably good the jug broke, along with most of the feet also, becuase if it didn't I would probably have been able to pull up to the blocks that looked like they would break off and crush you and Nala.

yeah, What a loss that would have been to the climbing community. I bet a shrine would have been erected to both Loren and Nala (God love her). I can just imagine the hordes coming to pay their respects to such a kind, loving, wonderful dog and her wanna-be climber owner.
In case you misunderstood, I wasn't soloing in reality. I was just bouldering the beginning of that route. I see no glory in soloing... unless it gets you on the cover of Rock & Ice.

I think it is called Sports Action. I heard someone call it a 13.

Sports Action starts off being really thin and goes to an easier section for 15 feet. That leads to a slighly overhung bouldery section and a "fun" run to the anchors. Its within 50 feet of Sam's hard to start route.

Is that what you got on? Even though it is chossy, I thought it was pretty cool too. But I am easy to please.
Can't we all just get along?
