I climb for Christ. Does the Red River Gorge climbers have a strong belief in Jesus Christ our Savior?

Are you talking about people who climb there because your question asks whether the park itself has a belief?

Just how is it that you "climb for Christ"? Do you accomplish something for your eternal soul or does Jesus himself say, "Dude! Stellar day! Can you put the rope up for me? I'll belay."

for a forum where one is supposed to be able to say anything, don't you think you're being a little hard on a new guy?

I don't think it's necessary to call him "troll" or make fun just because you don't like the question or think it is silly or whatever.

I'm a christian, and there are probably other climbers who are. We also have buddists and all other religions among us... yeah, I know I'll probably get blasted, too, but so what, who doesn't on this forum. It's all about bashing people you climbed with last weekend anyway.

To answer the original question... I climb for the sheer pleasure of climbing. It makes me happy to be outside in the beautiful gorge, on beautiful rock, hopefully with some good friends. Every single thing we do can reflect Christ (or whoever you worship) in our attitude. It's not a dumb or silly question, no matter how funny you think it's worded... it will make you think though. If you climb for yourself, that's ok, just say so and move on. I just don't think there's a need to make fun of someone or something you don't understand.
