Unrepeated Sport Routes at the Red

Post by SCIN »

The only one I can think of is Wicked Games at Roadside.
Has this thing seen a second? I've never seen so many bail biners on one route.

How about Daisychain @ Military...the on-line guide says that t-bone did it on TR. Anyone repeated it on lead? The reason I ask is that I was browsing the guide book last night (the paper one) and there was a comment on this climb that it may not have seen a second ascent. I know the book is old but hey you never know.

I need to try Wicked Games...I hear it is a cold weather, tall man route.

ONe other one comes to mind..Special Impetus at Military. This one may not have been rpoeated b/c the Porter Hangers scare everyone off, plus from the description it is mixed...requiring one piece of gear.
Lest we all forget... climbing is a mostly meaningless pursuit that we do for fun.

What about Cosmic Sausage at the Lode. I've never heard of anyone doing that one!

Power2U, I think Jamie B might have redpointed it. I had hold break on me and ruin my redpoint. Did it clean on tr cleaning my draws off.It needs more traffic to clean up some sharp little friable edges.

Thanks T-Bone. I definitely want to get back there this spring and do both Daisy Chain & Etrier.

I never got back on that thing. I should though. It's very different. Special impetus and Cosmic Snausage have been repeated. Those angle irons are bomber. Dave and Bill R have both done ACWLF. But noone was repeated Thanaptopsis (s.p.) or the nothing to my knowledge.

A quick search of the Sloth revealed 15 sport routes 5.13a and above. Of those 5 routes had spray: Swingline, The Madness, WHite Man's Overbite, Omaha Beach, & Ultra-Perm. And it has already been mentioned that ACWLF has been repeated. How about Nagypapa? The pic in the guide sure shows a lot of chock on it.

Nagypapa has had 4 ascents to my knowledge.
