thefts at miguels!!!!!!

watch your stuff at miguels right now. there is somebody there stealing stuff from our tents we left up!
we had some gear in our tent that some canadians left this weekend. we were waiting til we saw miguel to give it to him. he asked us about some gear when we got there yesterday after climbing. apparently some one got in our tent, stole the gear they wanted, and gave the rest back to miguel.
they claimed to have found it in the weeds. we assume they took the gear they could use and left the girls harness and shoes.
worse than that they apparently stole joe's trad rack from his tent. they then put it in the monestary. joe is down there now so he should deal with it!
miguel said he recognized the guy who tried to return the stolen gear.
hopefully this is an isolated incident, but still i have trouble understanding why a climber would steal another climbers gear.
watch out and watch your gear. hopefully this will be cleared up soon.

stolen but returned? Which is it? Your post is confusing as hell.
I don't mean to pick on you, Aaron, but this reeks of another BS post to stir up trouble. Maybe I'm wrong, but who the fuck leaves gear in their tent when they aren't even down there?? And if it's stolen and then returned, isn't it borrowed?
Please decypher your original post so it actually makes sense.

This is not BS sandy. Some people like aaron and joe who live close to the red leave their tents up. Aaron and i found some gear left out on a picknick table...we put in the tent and were goin to give it to miguel when we saw him next... However, someone decided to go through the tents and took some gear... they took joes trad rack and someother things (i dont know specific items)... The guys told miguel that they found the gear in the forest and miguel asked them to take him to the spot where they found it...they started acting nervous and joes trad rack was found later next to the couch in the monestray. Ive been talkin to Puzo and joe, and they think the guys ditched the stolen gear cause they didnt want to get caught. I dont know if the trad rack was the only thing they took and if they took other stuff if it was returned... I do know that there is a suspect...but i wont say anymore.

with all the BS that's gone down on this board, it's hard to believe anything your crew posts.
No shit people leave their tents up at Miguel's. I've left my own as well, but I've never left gear in it. Seems like common sense not to do so, eh? While it would be nice to believe that a community of climbers does not contain a criminal element, we all know better. I'm glad Joe got his rack back.

please note that Miguel has a sign posted for climbers to NOT leave their tents up when they aren't there, so you really should pay for camping when you do - unless you have his permission and he doesn't mind. It will matter when Spring arrives.

we talked to him about the tents. i don't appreciate the comment on our credibility. you just said you left your tent up also.

the fact that you admitted to putting up a crap thread basically ruined your credibility, didn't it?
