Has anyone climbed at the Enchanted Tower in March? What was your experience like? How cold was it?

I was there in April and there was still snow on the ground and we
were definitely not climbing in the shade. If it's late march you might
be OK

man, it's at 8 or 9000 feet, so march is gonna be iffy. check it out though if you're in the area. if it's too cold, box canyon is just outside of socorro. it's not great, but worth checking out for a day i guess. if you got time cruise to arizona for jacks canyon, and stuff around flagstaff, or down to hueco only a couple hours south of socorro.

Sitting Bull falls is a nice place .Routes in the sun, short approach, friendly rangers, and sceanic. Only a days worth but worth the drive.Be sure to check in and out.The routes are behind the visitor center.

I second Horatio's advice. I've been in Flagstaff and Sedona in early March and the weather was 60's and 70's during the day and butt-cold at night. There was some snow on the ground but the rock was warm. Good climbing weather.

Great advice from everyone....thanks.

Ho, I was in Jack's last year, had a blast, but I really want to hit the Tower. I "grew up" at Hueco and loved the place, but I am wondering how crowded it will be because of Spring Break. Never been to box canyon though.

ynot, Sitting Bull falls I hear is pretty cool. All my time living in Texas, and I never made the drive there. Maybe I should now...

loren, hopefully we will get the same good weather that you had.
