I was touring the S/R and I found a crack at some unknown crag that had 4 pieces with Locking carabiners on each piece. Is this abandonned gear? Can I salvage it ethically? I Think that it might be a gumby who abandonned it. How long should I wait until I score this gear? Or should I just leave it?

4, with lockers? That's someone's project dude, leave it! Still in doubt? Leave a note on the board at Miguel's for a while and a note at the crag.

why would you leave booty like that? It doesn't make sense. Four pieces with lockers. That a $100 at least! Thats why I think it is a gumby panic. The lockers don't make any sense. Why would you do this? can you think of a reason?

Sounds like a project. Sometimes people use lockers. Is it a kinda steep hands/fingers thing to a OW? Right up hill from a road? If so, then it was there in this summer. We didn't score it then. But, if you need gear that badly, then go for it. Just make sure and do it right by onsighting the route first. Bad Ju-Ju comes to those who rap in/aid climb to score booty on free routes.

Until that shit gets settled I ain't posting any more maps... The oil company used the last map to put up the gates. They knew where we accessed the arena from. This new area they'll never know cause I ain't telling. If you wanna go there then come find me and I'll take you there...... Some of the route possibilities looked so awesome.
