Rumbling Bald. Great winter area. Trad and bouldering. Maybe just over 5 hours. Good warmup for you for the valley.

sixty degrees at Sand Rock today, rain forecast for the weekend-hook up with someone who hates climbing indoors and go to a gym- ask them if they want some cheese with their whine, call them Dr Whinestein,

Little River Canyon in N. Alabama has lotso sport routes that stay dry. Lizard Wall has a full day's worth of stuff and may be the place to go in the rain. Climbing starts at about 10+. Most are in the 11 range.

Also try the N. Face of Looking Glass. It may be cold there right now, however. If it hasn't been monsooning for 2-3 days straight, then you can hop on Invisible Airwaves (P1), Waste Not Want Not (this can be accessed from the ledge at the top of IA P1 for a TR) and P1 of Creatures of Waste. I think that the Seal (P1) and some adjacent climbs sharing the same anchor may stay dry if it's not raining too badly, as well. The place is very surreal and I highly recommend it.
