Jeff, Barrabes is great. I've bought from them 3 or 4 times. Make sure you get the correct size, though. Return shipping will cost you more than the shoes.
I'm still pissed that they can't sell LaSportiva to the US anymore.

Jeff,
you can still get them from Sportextreme or Jumarnet. Shipping is not bad from either of those sites.

Five of us went in and bought shoes from:
http://www.telemark-pyrenees.com/
The more pairs you buy the cheaper shipping is. Shipping got bumped down to $11 a person with five people invloved, making a pair of Miuras $82 total. Oh, and we got them in 4 days!

I did something really stupid at the Rocktoberfest.
All day long I was eyeing a pair of La Sportiva Focus size 40.5 (perfect fit).
They were rushed for time during the auction so when JB holds up these shoes, everyone is wanting to know the size and no one bids. I say "$30.00" at the same time Julie tells Karen that there's no time for shoes, grab something else.
After the auction I go up to Karen and tell her I've got $50 I'll give for the Focus'. There's some kid checking 'em out too. He's all bummed 'cause I said I'd give $50.
Karen says "make a higher bid" to him. He pulls out a crumpled up wad of bills ( a lame wade) and says "I've got $51."
My shoes aren't in too bad of shape so I say "Go ahead and take 'em for $51" I feel good 'cause I figured I just helped the kid out, and he could really use a pair of shoes.
Well, an hour later me and Theresa are on the deck and this kid and his friend are leaving. The kid (probably 10-12 years old), says: "Dude, are there maps downstairs to the climbing areas around here, and do you need a permit to climb?"
Aaaaaargggghhhhhh. I just let a pair of shoes go to someone who has never even climbed before!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I can't find a cheap online source that carries my size.
Sometimes I am such an ass
