my girlie tongue only drinks red wine...and an occasional white
I keep trying beer...I think it's an acquired taste like coffee
but I realized (with coffee) that all those years of trying to acquire a taste for it...I was drinking s***...now I've found the good stuff...so maybe beer has hope yet

From Kentucky ;o)
I just had a nice couple pints of Killians Red myself....yum.
A big fan of cider too but can't get it as readily here as other places.
So the straight answer - Killians when I have the cash....Pete's Wicked anything when I am feeling feisty and any other beer when I am poor and my drinking is left to the whim of others.
(Sam Adams Winter Brew is pretty good too)
(Oh and Hornsby Dark)
(Yeah I like beers)

Ahh this was a tough poll, but High Life won out over other for today. Any other day other might be:
Boddington's Pub Ale
Sierra NV
Honkers Ale
Harp
Falls City
Newcastle
Peroni (light yet flavorful Italian beer) I had this stuff at an Italian place in North Beach, SF this past summer, was happy to see Bellini's in downtown Lex serving it as well
Back in college we used to brew a pretty good brown ale...I miss that stuff
Hey longlegs rule nothing wrong with wine at all, save Boone's Farm, but your logic on aquired taste is right. Try some of the beers The Mayor likes, or SCIN's top shelf stuff and you might learn to like beer afterall.

I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
I just had a nice micro from Utah last night called Polygamy Porter with the slogan "Why have just one!" I've had better beers, but that was one bottle I had to save.
Typically, I like beers from Goose Island, Sam Adams, Bell's, Summit, Sierra Nevada, Pete's, etc. I really couldn't pick a favorite and if I ever see something in the store that I haven't had yet, I'll pick that up instead.
My favorite cheap beer is PBR but if I'm buying for just myself, I'm getting a six pack of something good.
