I was browsing through the online guide book and came across this route, is it any good? Only one person on the board has ticked it, and i was wondering if its worth the go at it?

I haven't been on it but I have been on the two climbs to its left, 8-Ball and Snooker, and from what I understand those are a much better introduction to the GMC wall than Hot for Teacher. I think Hot for Teacher is more like one of those climbs you do after you've done all the other climbs you can do at the Lode.

HAHAHA! That route is fucking awesome! I have a vested interest however. Jarrard claimed that the roof moves were the best in the red.

Roof moves? There are no roof moves on that route, a small bulge if that. If you compare that route to any other route on the wall it should definatly be the last one you do.

Im not going to say it is a bad route or it is a good route, I feel that you need to make that decision when the time comes for you to get on it. And no offense youngin, but you need to get down to the red and do alot more pitches and get some miliage under your belt before you start trying hard routes. I was your age when I started climbing, and I know what it is like to be anxious to get on hard routes, but take my advice and you will be glad you did.

I am working on Snooker now and will definitely get on Hot for Teacher after I tick off Snooker. I'll form my own opinion on the route like Allah suggested...after I climb it.

Come to think of it I'll probably like it as I end up liking a lot of the weirdo routes that no one else climbs :D
