I just want to announce that I am going to try for the redpoint on Blue Plate Special this weekend!! I invite everyone to come witness this amazing feat as I swing from jug to jug with every bit of effort manageable to maintain the endurance and power needed to ascend this challenging route. YOU WILL be amazed at this 202,345th ascent of the 40 foot section of rock. I will use my BARE HANDS and special ROCK CLIMBING shoes to make the ascent. Again, YOU WILL BE AMAZED!

Dude...what are you thinking! That thing is freaking way hard, I've been working it for about a year now and I still can only get it with 2 hangs. When you grab that one jug at the third bolt, make sure you get that sick drop knee, it's key!

Well, I've replicated the route at Lexington Rocks and have been working the key sequences for 83 days (2 on, 1 off). I've managed to do all the moves and linked it once after a couple doses of pseudoephidrine. The pseudoephidrine almost worked against me though due to the added leg shake but the Red Bull and Coffee may have had something to do with it. However, I think I'll go with the pseudoephidrine because it, being a bronchiadilator, allows my lungs to take in the extra Oxygen I need to SEND!!!!!!

Bullshit. Sure, you can send evil offwith, but BPS is freaking wicked. I shouldn't say anything, but Francois Legrand and Alex Huber secretly came to the Red this fall and tried working 'Special' when no one was around. They knew that their reputations would be ruined if anyone found out just how badly they flailed that thing. Francois was literally crying as he looked at his shredded hands as their helicopter lifted off. They were whipped so bad by that - it could easily be the world's first 5.16, if not 5.17. It's the fucking route of the future!
